Everything Irie in Jamaica Mon!!!

One of my favorite vacation spots is Jamaica!  No worries, mon….this is the overwhelming sentiment of the Jamaican people.  It is why I love Jamaica so much….the people are wonderful.  They are super nice, always smiling and singing, and don’t seem to have a care in the world.  They are very laid back, and seem to embrace stress free living!

At the Ritz Carlton Rose Hall, White Witch Country Club, Montego Bay Jamaica

If you ever visit, and if you are in the Ocho Rios area, you definitely need to climb Dunn’s River Falls…..it is the thing to do!  You actually climb up a waterfall.  We did this on our first visit to Jamaica, which was our honeymoon over 15 years ago!!  A local will guide you up…and it is very funny because they will hold your cameras for you while you make your way up, and they take your picture.  They can just climb up with no hands….like mountain goats bouncing from rock to rock, with 20 cameras hanging off them…and not one stumble or drop!!!!  Meanwhile, you need both hands and steady feet to make it up…it is quite an experience and really fun!

This past April, we stayed in Montego Bay, at the Ritz Carlton Rose Hall.  This was a trip that Chris earned through work, which was an all inclusive, at a top notch resort!  If you are ever able to stay at such a place, do it!!!!  Great food and drink, beautiful rooms, and the royal treatment!!
Huge suite!

The Beach at the Ritz, Rose Hall

Rose Hall is a great attraction to take in while in Montego Bay.  Rose Hall is an old plantation….that is supposedly haunted!!!  You can tour the house, and there is a great golf course there called the White Witch.  The White Witch has a country club with a great restaurant that has an awesome view of the ocean and you can catch a beautiful sunset in the evening!!!

This pic is almost complete....missing the fruity frozen drink!

  1. How could I forget to mention the coffee....Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee is the BEST!! Very expensive to buy in the US, but far cheaper to buy in Jamaica and bring some home!! We bought a huge 5 lb bag last time we were there!!!
